lighting the sacred fire honouring the children

In the spirit of healing, a sacred fire continues to be lit each month as Indigenous communities across Turtle Island continue to confirm and heal from the missing children located on Residential School grounds.

In acknowledgement of all who continue to grieve - the survivors, families and all who remain brave in sharing their truths - the fire will be lit honouring the children still being confirmed and those who survived yet were never the same.

In respectful remembrance of Le Estcwicwéý (The Missing), Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc.

All are welcome at the fire to offer prayers. Please, no photographs. (The image used to advertise this event is a stock image)
